Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, a national law firm, is pleased to announce that the Governors of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers have elected firm Member John E. Quinn as a Fellow of the College. Quinn is the sole Pennsylvania attorney elected in the College’s Class of 2012, which honors professionals whose sustained performance in the practice of labor and employment law exemplifies the highest standards of professionalism, achievement, integrity, dedication and excellence. The seventeenth installation of Fellows will take place on November 3, 2012 in Atlanta, GA, coincident with the American Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section's CLE Conference.
Quinn represents both organized and unorganized employers in all aspects of employee relations. He defends employers in federal and state courts as well as before city, state and federal agencies in matters involving discrimination allegations, wrongful discharge cases and other employment-related matters. Quinn also represents employers before the National Labor Relations Board and the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board in unfair labor practice proceedings as well as in union organizational campaigns. He has participated in numerous contract negotiations with various unions and he has represented employers in arbitration cases.
