Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, a full-service national law firm, is pleased to announce that the Honorable Robert A. Graci has been elected to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, charged with the promotion of fundraising, volunteerism, outreach and advocacy on behalf of the Society. He was also elected to serve as the Board Secretary and, in that capacity, will serve on the Executive Committee of the Board.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. The organization's mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, in addition to improving the overall quality of life of patients and families.
Graci, Chair of Eckert Seamans’ Appellate Group and former Superior Court of Pennsylvania judge, focuses his practice on appeals and general litigation, including white collar defense, regulatory law and governmental relations. He was appointed to Superior Court of Pennsylvania by Governor Mark Schweiker and unanimously confirmed by the Pennsylvania Senate, serving the bench from 2002 to 2004. Prior to Graci’s appointment to the bench, he was the Assistant Executive Deputy Attorney General for Law and Appeals of the Criminal Law Division of the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. He has argued cases in all of the state and federal appellate courts in Pennsylvania as well as the Supreme Court of the United States.
